Sarah's Shiz

Admittedly I nicked the idea of my fellow blogger friend but I thought it was a cool idea, that was until I got a good look at what I actually carry around in one of my many bags. I'm not neat. Really I'm not, my style is to throw all my stuff in a bag and make do, I dont have time to mess around and make sure my phone is in the little "holder" bags come with although one thing I do make sure is safe is my trusty, cant live without it, iTouch. My music is literally my life. So as you can see I dont carry that much around with me. Usually I have my camera in there somewhere but on this day I happened to not have it still I've got my fingerless gloves in there (dont ask why I have them there considering its summer and all) . Trident chewing gum because everyone should have gum in there bag, purse which is sort of essential, crappy phone that is soon to be replaced, chapstick, lip gloss, is that a sharpie? I think so... sunnies, an old beaded necklace that happened to be hiding in one of the compartments, make up bag, compact mirror, another lip balm, and of course my faithful iTouch.
That, my freaks, is what this douche carries around with her all day. Riveting stuff eh?

Another New Layout

I wasnt liking my old one, yeah the one I had had for about 10 days...maybe longer. I dont know exactly why I disliked it, maybe it was the writing size or maybe because it wasnt simple enough. Unlike my life I like all my online sites to be simple. Is this new template simple enough? *frowns* I'm not sure. Maybe. I like it though, despite the layout of my picture is all wrong but I'm trying to fix that. On the upside i like it because its plain and only bares one column. I searched a load of online sites for a new template but all i got was crap, or they didnt work. Basically i was getting a bit desperate so this one will have to do until I see one I like. Still, tell me what you think of it. Feedback is always appreciated however shit it might be...

Return from Rome

I want to live in Rome. Ive made up my mind - its a frickin' amazing city. The last 7 days have officialy made it into my "highlights of life" list. We left Heathrow at around 10pm before boarding and journeying the 2 and half hours. I was buzzing and it wasnt just from the two red bulls i had gulped before the flight. Even looking out the small plane window I knew I was in love. Its amazing. We saw everything and did pretty much anything. True, it was a total bore holidaying with the parents and brother but then I did escape for a few hours every day and saw the sights alone. And I did meet a italian guy!! His name was Pedro *beams* and he really liked my hair, strange I know but whatever a hot italian guy liked me! I didnt see him again after my third day but I took the opportunity to take some pretty cool snapshots of the place. I figured, whilst I was there, Rome could be my new Photography project for when I start college again. And boy am I glad I had the brainwave - Rome is so beautiful, seriously waking up every morning and looking out at the view was total heaven. I am so moving there one day, or I will at least visit again. Italy is just amazing. Milan and Venice is where I plan to journey next. When I landed a few hours ago it bloody raining! Typical! And my hair went completely frizzy in the drizzle. I have that weird feeling of depression after being on an amazing holiday which i always get when I head home. Still, at least I have a month to get over my holiday blues before college starts.
Below some pictures of lovely Rome that I'm planning on using in my photograpy work. Wadddaayaaa think??

No Updates This Week

Im leaving for Rome, Italy in five hours so there will be zero updates from me this week. I'm apologizing in advance. I havent had time to make, let alone research my Eye Candy for this week which was going to be James Franco. So dont expect anything this week. Despite being completely amped for this trip, I'm really not looking forward to spending the week with my mum, dad and dick of an older brother. Hopefully I'll be able to wander off alone and find some nice hot italian dude who wants to by me paella or something. Wait is paella spanish or italian? Meh. I dont no. Anyway so no updates this week, once I'm back I'll probably be blogging non stop, so until then. Buongiorno!

Reading Junkie

I have exactly twenty minutes before a new episode of Ugly Betty airs on Channel 4. Im asking myself as I write this why the hell am I blogging now? Wait until after Sarah. But, I should know by now, that inner voice everyone "apparently" has goes unheard. So I'm blogging. I like to read, scratch that I love to read. As reality is always sucking I try and escape it as much as possible. Films works, my own writing does as well but books are the real escapists. Yes *sigh* like every other teenage girl out there I got sucked into the Twilight saga, but I am glad that I read the novels before all this hoopla surrounding the first film came about - I'm pretty proud of that as so many people who have read them nowadays only read them because of the film, and because everyone else is. Harry Potter cinches the number one spot with me though, there freaking awesome. Sure the last film was a bit of a let down, but the books will live on. A few years ago I started reading the famous Alex Rider series, ya' no about the fourteen year old spy? Secretly I'm a nine year old boy trapped in a seventeen year old girls body. I love anything action and adventure, not to mention anything to do with missions and gadgets cant go unseen with me. The usual "romance" novels I enjoy as well, although I'll always prefer a fat fantasy book. Lord of the Rings is probably one of the best series of novels I've ever read, not to mention the hardest and Sophia Kinsella - a british author - is seriously awesome. Its like a secret of mine, this reading shiz. People instantly assume I'm this badass rocker (which admittedly I am) but hell, I would rather curl up and read then go and get totally wasted on the town (although I am known to do that, a fair few times...). Esta, who is like the evil twin of me or something, referred to me as a reading junkie as I need books the way addicts need crack. Although a music junkie would be more fitting, but I liked the name - hence the name of the post. I doubt I'll update again tonight. Despite blogger telling you some other time its actually 21:50 here in old blighty. Besides after Ugly Betty finishes I'm in need of some new tunes and I feel like Youtubing. Later freaks...

New Layout - Undecided

I thought it was time for a change. My old layout was getting boring, not to mention old so I figured I'd attempt to submit a new template. It worked. Thankfully. My first attempted failed pretty badly and then I stumbled across this one and thought it would do. I really want to design my own but until I found out how and actually get round to doing it I'll leave this one. And to be on the safe side if I suddenly decide that I dont like this layout I saved my own HTML template in a word document so if worse comes to worse I can just cut and paste. Easy as pie. Its raining. Here in London. Isnt it always? Actually this morning it was gorgeous, I woke up to a bright, sunny morning. Now Im ending the evening with an overcast and dismal day. Bang goes my plans for tonight. Typical. One thing that isnt reliable over here is the weather, seriously I swear we can go through rain, sun, wind, clouds, cloudless and maybe even snow in one day. So basically you have to be prepared for all weathers, that why I pack an umbrella and my raybans in my bag when I go out. Just in case...

Eye Candy Sunday

If you type in this weeks name over 50 million hits come up (I did it just now) although I think it was pretty obvious who this week was going to be, you had to have seen it coming. No? Well I suppose I havent been raving on about "him" in my posts as much as I have to my friends. At first I was going to feature Daniel Radcliffe - the boy wizard - as my Eye Candy but then I saw The Proposal and thought, "no effing way his danny boy being my man candy". Say hello to this weeks man buffness: Ryan Reynolds.

So the guys thirty, so what? He looks pretty damn good for a thirty old. In fact when I looked him up I couldnt believe that he was the big three-oh. More like twenty four, or so I was hoping anyway. He stared in the X Men Origin: Wolverine film as Wade Wilson which starred this years sexiest man Hugh Jackman. Although how Jackman managed to beat out the likes of Reynolds beats me. I guess my love for this Canadian born actor was in 2005 when I went and watched the film Just Friends. Reynolds is a natural at comedy which I found again in this years film Adventureland where he played Mike Connell which also featured IT girl at the moment, Kristen Stewart. He was Will Hayes in the romantic comedy Definitely Maybe, Richard Messner is Smoking Aces, Frank Allen in Chaos Theory where he sported a pretty well grown beard. Reynolds is not only a great actor but he's ridiculously good looking with that even tan and wavy brown hair *sigh*. His latest film The Proposal is my favorite yet, although Adventureland comes close second with Just Friends coming in at third. Although unfortunetly this male candy is no longer single he engaged and married New Yorker beauty Scarlett Johansson last year and even though I hate to admit they make a pretty hot couple.

Oh well there's plently more eye candy out there for all us single women to lust over, I wonder who next weeks will be...

"I'm not a hockey fan, which is probably why I had to leave Canada in the first place"
- Ryan Reynolds

Hey You;

Dear past me,
Hey, yeah you, the girl with all the eyeliner. Its me, Sarah, well OK, its you but ten years in the future and with this letter I bring good news and bad news. What do you want first? Well I guess you cant choose so I'll choose for you, I mean us, I mean...oh never mind. So guess what?! It worked! Your dreams to build a successful music record label worked. Yup, sure you may not be the biggest and best but your happy and well, rolling in it to be honest. Dont go under the impression that we got this easily. Oh dear no. We lost our job. Yup, oh wait you dont know about that job do you. Lemme explain: you went to New York like you hoped, you rented a scummy apartment in god knows where and you went and worked for EMI. Yeah, the record label. You were twenty, passionate and with a dream. They liked you, they saw something in us and they hired us. OK, so you didnt find the next best seller but discovered some seriously badass talent that went on to have so-so careers. One band even made it onto the front of Rolling Stone (oh yeah Rolling Stones here in the future). Things were going swell for you, sure you still lived in that dismal apartment but you loved your job. That was until jobs started getting slashed. Yours went, unfortunetly. And although they were sorry to see you go you went. We were twenty three by this point, just so you have heads up when your life starts to crash. You flew back to London and then moped around for a year and then light bulb!

Yup. Your own company. It took years mind you, until you were twenty six did it actually get anywhere. You forgot New York and settled for the London vibe, figuring out that there werent many big named music labels in the UK. You've actually started quite a trend. Here was when you met that hot guy, you know, Rob Pattinson. He's still acting, still hot despite being thirty three and you met him - he finally decided to do an album - took him ten years to make the descicion. So yeah your on speaking terms with that old heartthrob, some other younger kid has taken over the scene now, I forget his name but *fans herself* that boy is hot. The album sold and you made your first million. Now, well... people say your career driven but you defend yourself with the expression "i just like my job. its my dream".
You havent met anyone yet, I mean guy wise long-potential-type thing. And no you didnt shag Mr Pattinson he's happily married with a kid on its way. Buts its not all bad. You have a fancy London town house, not to mention an apartment in America. You lost that weight that you wanted and actually grew a few inches! You now stand at 5"7! Two whole inches!!

By the way this letter wasn’t to tell you about all the cool stuff you have in the future, like a voice-controlled shower or a robot that makes sandwiches or a flying car. The future is pretty much like the present but with an even rowdier generation of teenagers. So stop moping and asking yourself where your life is going to go. You'll do it, we did it.
So thats it dude, future you is happy you. So keep what your doing. Stay cool, not to mention in college. Dont drop out for the love of god, else everything you have just read washes away. Stay.In.School.Sarah. So yeah, keep rocking.
From,

You.

ps. When the guy at the dingy bar in NY asks you if care for a drink, for gods sake say no. That was not a happy experience, so unless you want to lost "it" to some scumbug, who admittedly was rather dishy, say no! Such a scumbug that guy was...

The Proposal

Despite that Sandra Bullock is ten years Ryan Reynolds senior this movie surpassed any of my expectations. It's funny, cute, romantic and has those W-T-F! moments, many actually. I am of course talking about the movie: The Proposal which tells the story of hard-as-nails editor Magaret Tate blackmailing her puppy dog assistant, Andrew Paxton, into marrying her to enable she's not deported back to Canada. Andrew agrees and they journey to Alaska to announce their engagement and of course fall in love along the way.

I'm a fan of Reynolds, the guys like Zeus or something and that body... *fans herself*. Side on view of Reynolds delicious butt was all I could have asked for (I'm not a pervert). He's, like, picture perfect in every scene. That Scarlett Johanssen is one lucky son of a bitch. Anyway, the film. It's good, actually forget that, it's hilarious. Believe it or not I actually preferred this to Harry Potter 6 - dont even get me started on that film - and I laughed right until the very end, literally. Sandra Bullock was just as good as ever, but then she has always been good at comedy. It was just the age difference that bugged me. True, she didnt look old but I couldnt help thinking half way through the film, "man she's like old enough to be hit mother!" (well ok, almost old enough). But hey, she's got the body of a twenty year old so kudos to her.

The film is well worth seeing it has *excuse the cheesiness* something for everyone from a chanting and slightly deranged old grandma to a sex addict and exotic dumbass called Ramone. It's lighthearted, easy to follow and will probably make any single girl out there slightly depressed. But whatever, the films a goodun' if you havent seen it I suggest you check it out asap.

"You can do this, but that would require you to stop snacking on children while they dream"
- The Proposal

Life's a Bitch

Talk about no updates. This weeks has been 100% crazy, why? I've spent the psat few days in a tent in the middle of the scottish downs at T music festival with a bunch of friends, resulting in absoloutly zero updates form yours truly. No Eye Candy this week I'm afraid even though I have a pretty certain idea of who it's going to be. I've hardly updated my iTunes playist meaning no new music to share with you all. And its not as if I could update this via my crappy phone, I'm not flash like my other london friends who all sport iPhones. I'm sticking with my Sony Erricson thanks very much. This post is just a sort of i'm-still-alive-and-updates-will-be-soon sorta thing. But now I'll leave you after that short post, I'm heading to the Odeon to catch Ryan Reynolds new film "The Proposal" later on tonight (around 9ish) but before the friends and I are eating at Nandos, I do love my chicken, so I gotta get ready and now I've been told its raining so bang goes my straightended hair, I think I might just stick it all up and cram a hat on top. Meh. Maybe.
So I'm off now, but first I'll leave you with some pictures of the T music festival. Yes. Thats me in a tent.

Ear Sex

Truthfully I have nothing to blog about. I'll be writing up a review on the latest Harry Potter film when I get a moment to breathe and actually sit down and write it. I'm sort of all over the place right now, I'm packing for our usual "family" holiday plus I've been kinda absorbed with re-reading all the Harry Potter books - I'm currently on Goblet of Fire not bad considering I started at the beginning of the week.
Anyway, Ear Sex, Enjoy!

Eye Candy Sunday (On Monday)

So much for upholding tradition. Last night I succumbed to a Harry Potter movie marathon (what is it about movie marathons and me?) seeing as the sixth movie is coming out on wednesday. Just as well I watched them all again because I'd totally forgotten about a bunch of things...but I wont go into that, I'll leave that for another post.

Anyway this weeks Eye Candy is all singing all dancing, Californian born, actor Zac Efron. Cards on the table, I wasnt a fan of his, really I wasnt. Can you imagine me sitting through High School Musical? No. Exactly. But when I was dragged to see his latest film 17 Again I couldnt help but become a fan. The guys not only ridiculously good looking but he's funny to, and yeah he can sing. He's a triple threat in Hollywood. He started off on bit spots on American TV until he got his first major role in a TV show called Summerland where he looked adorably cute with this huge gap in between his teeth. Thankfully by the time he appeared in High School Musical the gap had gone and now stood a pretty hot teen idol. He's graced countless magazines, won tones of teen choice awards, topped endless "best looking" polls, gets bombarded with papparrazi every where he goes, yet he wants to be taken seriously as an actor. He pulled out of doing a remake of "Footloose" as he wanted to stay away from musicals (Chace Crawford took his place) as I think the guy fears thats all he'll be known for - I get it, really I do. I like Zac, despite that his girlfriend really cant act and secretly loves the cameras but makes a huge fuss wherever she goes, apart from that, the guys cool. I think he'll do well, no doubt about it what with his huge fanbase. I just hope he scores some roles as a bad guy or something, ya no, like a good looking troublemaker - that'd be cool.

People are saying Rob Pattinson is the new Zac Efron but, to be honest, they are in two completely different genres of film and have totally different acting styles that I dont think its fair to compare them. Although if I had to say which was better looking Rob wins, but thats only because I like my men to be able to play the guitar...

"I would love to just sit down and talk with Leonardo DiCaprio and Johnny Depp and pick their brains about their early careers"
- Zac Efron

Harry Potter with a Splash

For us Londoners last night was the premiere of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince in Leicester Square. Living only ten minutes away I figured I might as well go along with everyone. To be honest I was amazed that so many of the friends wanted to go given the thunder and lightening but that didnt dampen our spirits! It was pouring. Torrential rain indeed. We arrived just before five and only had to wait two hours (which is pretty good considering I had to wait over 5 hours in minus 5 degrees for the Twilight premiere). At 7, well just after, the cars started pulling up at which by this time I was soaked through and probably dying of pneumonia buyt the excitment kept me alive. It was amazing to see how many people actually turned up, some even wen the whole hog and painted their faces red and yellow. I mean I didn't but it was still amusing to see. The night turned out pretty good though. I got Dan Radcliffe's, Emma Watsons, Rupert Grints and Tom Feltons autograph which was kinda cool. They didnt stop to talk much which was understandable given that it was pouring. But I went for the expirence and it was well worth it. Besides Harry Potter 6 looks seriously incredible. Ive got my ticket already!

A Bit of Randomness

I'm feeling in the writing mood today although it probably wont last, actually saying that I've been writing my "novel" non-stop for the past day and a half. Seriously its been typing for three hours, stop, have a bagel and cream cheese, pee, then carry on writing only to stop two hours later for another bagel, or was it for cookies? I cant remember. Anyway. It's only just gone half ten in the morning and I was up at the crack of dawn to get ready for college. For the past 2 days I've been heading to college for 12 in the afternoon but today, in over 5 days, I've actually had to get up early. I dont mind, I mean the radio wakes me up + I watch the live stream which is really sad, but I like it. I only had one lesson this morning which was english. It went on for too long which is a bit of a exaggeration as I was only in there for an hour and fifteen minutes - but it felt as though it went on for ages. But I'm home now which is good. I stopped off at the shop on my way back (I walked. I didnt hop on the tube which I usually do) and picked up Vogue, Dr. Pepper and a two pack of toblerones.
Now, I'm munching on my chocoalte and sipping the good ol' dr until 11 when One Tree Hill starts up on E4 even though I've already seen most of the 5th series but its actually something I like to watch on TV seeing as television lately has been seriously crap. I havent got much planned for today. Later on I'm planning on blogging about the Harry Potter 6 Premiere last night which I went to with the friends. It was in the middle of a potential thunderstorm and I got completely soaked, but it is London after all, I was sort of missing the overcast days. I think too much sun is affecting me. Weird.

Yes. Im that sad. I took a picture of my Dr Pepper & Toblerone.

Surprising...

If you live in England it's hard to not have heard of Peter Andre and Katie Price, they were married until recently. They were, pretty much, the most well known couple in England and even went over to America. I like them both, but when I heard they split I was momentarily surprised. I've watched there show on ITV 2 and its awesome plus their kids are cute. But no I was totally surprised when it was reported they were getting a divorce. But anyway I'm not on about that, even though that is what surprised me thats not the most surprising. I'm talking about Andres new album, more importantly his new single: Behind Closed Doors. I'm not a fan of his music, I'm a fan of him but his music is waay to pop for me being the rock/punk obsessed fan I am but his new song is awesome. I first heard it one Radio 1 on Friday morning where Peter was being interviewed and then they played the song. My mouth was literally gaping and I was thinking, no way this is the same guy who used to make the cheesiest pop videos ever and sing about a Mysterious Girl. But it is and he has made an awesome tune, it's sort of rock/pop and the lyrics are good. I'm really into the chorus and because we cant download it until the 10th of August I'm repeatedly playing it on YouTube. I cant actually believe it, I'm counting down the days until Peter Andrews new album surfaces, I can hardly believe it myself. Oh well I always was Team Andre.

Eye Candy Sunday

This weeks Eye Candy is the ever so famous, London bred star Robert Pattinson. I like the guy, I really do. I think he was a good Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire and a great Edward Cullen in Twilight. Sure, my Edward takes a completely different form but then so does the entire Twilight world, but he did a pretty good portrayal of ol' Ed despite the fact that his american accent seemed kinda odd in some scenes. I like the guy because he seems totally down to earth, he doesnt seem to know why people like him and doesnt think he's as hot as he really is. Besides his hair is kinda cool and he makes a total prat of himself in most interviews - which I love.
Unlike stupid Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black), he hasnt let the level of fame go to his head which is pretty surprising given the fact that he's probably the most wanted actor right now.
He starred in The Ring of Nibelungs as Giselher where he had a pretty awful accent which makes me laugh every time I watch it. After, he stared in Harry Potter 4 as Prefect and Hogwarts Champion, Cedric Diggory. He was semi well known from the Harry Potter franchise but it was only when he stared in Twilight that he became a world wide name. Besides Twilight he's been in "The Badmothers Handbook" as Daniel Gale which is just hilarious, he's the most the adorable geek I've ever seen. He was Toby Jugg in The Haunted Airman, Art in How to Be (which is one of my favourite films), Salvador Dali in Little Ashes and is currently filming "Remember Me" in New York where he will be playing Tyler Roth.
Rob Pattinson (or Spunk Ransom as he nicknamed himself) is pretty much the IT boy of this generation and unlike other "pretty" boys in the industry he really does seem to love what he does and not be in it for the fame. Rob should be around for a long time, or at least I hope he will be, plus he's a cracking good singer!

"That's the worst thing, I don't really care if people say I'm a bad actor, I can like work on that, but if they just say that he's ugly that's just like 'oh...really?'"
- Robert Pattinson

English Summers

Summer in England is always a surprise. Last year we had continous rain that summer was a total wash out making it the worst summer we'd ever had. This year its like another world - its scorching hot. Seriously. People said last year was bad, this is even worse. I cant even walk down the street to buy myself a red bull without sweating buckets and thats me in shorts and a freakin' tank top! Night is worse. I cant sleep, well until 3am rolls around and it becomes cooler for about half an hour. I have a fan and all my windows open but its makes no difference. I cant sleep. Last night I went to bed at around 1 and did not fall asleep until 4 am! 4! Thankfully I didnt have to be up early for college but still, I need my damn sleep! Even sitting here typing this shows no mercy, every few sentences I'm swigging from my evian bottle. My hairs plastered back into a high ponytail which, for people who know me, is never a good look for me. Im serioulsy considering just sitting in my underwear, I mean know ones in. But with my bad luck someone will knock on the front door and I'll rush down there, open the door and then realise I'm standing there in a blue bra and matching hot pants. Maybe not.
I love summer, dont get me wrong its always nice seeing people walking around in shorts and stuff (not that I'm a pervert or anything) but everyone always seems generally happier when the suns out. I know the temperatures we're experiencing are probably know where near what Africa or America have but for us British folk its a revelation. I just wish it was little cooler, I would like to get at least 6 hours sleep please...

Eye Candy Sunday

Hooray! For once I actually blogged this on a Sunday. As I type this I'm watching the film "King Arthur" ya' know the one with Clive Owen & Kiera Knightley and, which actually features my Eye Candy Sunday: Hugh Dancy!
I've always liked Hugh, not only is he from here in England, but the guy defines the world handsome. The reason why I've decided Hugh is to be my Eye Candy this week? Well, his latest film Confessions of a Shopaholic comes out on DVD tomorrow and not only did I like the film but I love the books - sure he may not be how I saw high flyer Luke Brandon but the guy has enough british charm and good looks to take on his role.
The first time I saw Dancy was back in 2004 where he starred alongside Anne Hathaway in the film "Ella Enchanted" where he played Prince Charmont, Char. He was young, talented and like a younger more attractive Hugh Grant. He went on to star in "King Arthur" as Galahad and grew a pretty spectacular beard for the role (I prefer him clean shaven I admit), he played Aiden in the 2007 film "Blood & Chocolate" where he ditched the beard for a very convincing American accent, he was Grigg Harris in "The Jane Austen Book Club", Adam in "Adam" which is one of my all time favourite films, and Luke Brandon in "Confessions of a Shopaholic". Hugh's been a lot of other films but the ones I've mentioned are the ones that I've actually watched and loved.
He's currently engaged to fellow British actress Claire Danes and, I gotta say, they make a pretty hot couple.
So thats this weeks Eye Candy Sunday - Hugh Dancy

- On a side note you'll notice that I've changed the layout for the pictures. Before, you couldnt really see them that clearly, now I changed the design (get me) plus there were just too many good pictures of Mr Dancy - I'll nearly put Mr Darcy how good a Mr Darcy would Hugh make?!! A freakin' good one! ;)

"Acting is not very good for relationships - but very good for when they are over"

RIP MJ.

I heard last night that King of Pop Michael Jackson suffered a cardiac arrest and then died later on in the night. Many people have different opinions on him but for me the guy was a legend. Despite what he might or might not have done the guy affected the world and left his mark. His songs, no matter how old there are, are still played todays. I mean I still play the Jackson's 5 ABC on my iTouch. Before he went all, well, white I guess, the guy was good looking, very good looking. He let him self go a bit but thats understandable when you have as much fame as Michael did.
I had bought a ticket to see his comeback tour for when he played here in London. I'm not bothered that I spent next to a hundred a fifty pounds for my ticket, I'm more disappointed that I wont get to see him perform live - screw the money.
My thoughts are with his family and close friends. Many people are saying that they're relieved that he's gone, but thats just rile. The guy was a legend, a music legend, and will continue to be one even though he's gone.
Rest in peace Michael Jackson you were pretty, freakin', awesome.

Music Lover

Dont ask why I'm blogging at 09:51 on a Thursday morning, honestly I dont even know myself. I had to wake early today to be up for our "shopping" delivery seeing as everyone else has left for work. I swear they do it on purpose so it arrives when I'm here. For the past half an hour I've been downloading a lot of stuff for my Sims 2 game. My game is so full of custom content I'm surprised it hasnt stopped working. True, I have the Sims 3 but I really dont like it. The people are too weird looking or something, that and the fact that my laptop really doesnt seem to like it so it take forever to load.
But thats not what I'm going to blog about. Everyone who knows me, and for people reading this blog, probably know by now that I'm a total music addict. I cant imagine life without it. When I'm bored I just bring up my iTunes and sit there and listen for hours on end. The music I actually listen to is pretty unheard of by people here in England, ya' see I'm this big fan of American punk rock bands. Also, I get the weirdest, excited feeling when I find a new band thats pretty unheard of and kick ultimate ass! My dream job is to work for a huge record label when I'm older, sorta like Peyton out of One Tree Hill. I have the experience from working in the record store for the past year and, no doubt, I have the passion for it.
I want to go to New York. New York houses all the major labels. I've been once before for Christmas but I was too young to acknowledge where I was. There's so many singer/songwriters, unsigned bands, that are awesome but just havent had the chance to prove themselves. Kinda like me, I want the chance to prove myself that I can make it into the music world. I know I'm seventeen (18 in a few months) but I might as well start out young. New York seems to be the answer to my ambition. I know I must come off sounding pretty naive about the whole idea but I know it wont be easy. I know it wont take just flying over to New York and showing up on the doorsteps of EMI or whatever, hell I need to pass college before. Still, everyone has a dream right? And mines just a bit more adventurous than others.
Hey, if it all falls through I'll just start up my own label, like that wont be hard or anything...

"The Hangover"

Yesterday, actually, on Sunday I went and (finally) saw "The Hangover" with my boyfriend Ben. I had high hopes for the film, the trailer looked hilarious and from all the feedback it was getting on all those "aint it cool" websites like IMDb, it looked as if the film could do no wrong. So I was pleasantly surprised to see that it actually lived up to its expections. Usually, a film is so played up that it can only dissappoint. Like for example Slumgdog Millionaire, I mean it was good dont get me wrong, it just wasnt as good as everyone made it out to be. But The Hangover completely gave "comedy" a new name.
I have never laughed as much in the cinema than I did on Sunday. The Hangover is hysterical, totally hysterical. I thought, going in, maybe all the good jokes had been put in trailer, however I couldnt have been more wrong.
So at the beginning it was pretty OK, the first fifteen minutes I was waiting for something ridiculously hilarious to happen and then it did. I dont think I've ever laughed so hard at the sight of a guy cutting his hand with a knife before, it was over the top and plain wrong that it had to be funny.
Bradley Cooper who played Phil was, by far, the best actor. However it was Zach Galifianakis who played Alan that had the most laughs. The guy is freakin fantastic! And how he said the word retard had tears pouring down my face.
There's no doubt about, "The Hangover" is the best comedy to date and cant seem to do no wrong. Even Ken Jeongs completely over the top character had me rolling about.
I recommend "The Hangover" to everyone, you'll love it, you can't not...

Eye Candy Sunday (On Monday)

I might as well just keep calling it the Eye Candy on Monday because, frankly, I keep forgetting to update it on a Sunday. Yesterday, I went and saw the movie "The Hangover" (which is probably the best film I've ever seen to date) so when I got home it was late in the evening and all thoughts of blogging went out the window.
Anyway.
This weeks Eye Candy is British born actor Alex Pettyfer. Sure, OK the dudes only been in 4 things, 5 if you include his new film "Beastly" but the guy defines the rather chavy word "Phit". He's gorgeous, and can even pull off the skinhead look. Being the bookworm that I am I read all of Anthony Horowitz's "Alex Rider" books so I was more than excited when the first in the series "Stormbreaker" was to be made into a movie. I was even more excited when I saw who was playing him. Since Stormbreaker (which was back in 2006), Alex has gone on to star in films such as "Wild Child" as Freddie and starred alongside Emma Roberts. Recently, he was in the film "Tormented" as Bradley which is based on a kid who dies but then comes back and haunts his bullies. Being certified an 18 I couldnt bend the rules and watch it at the cinema, however I managed to watch it online and had to admit it wasnt great. Luckily though Alex's acting seems to be getting better with age which was probably why he got cast as the lead in next years film "Beastly" which co stars Vanessa Hudgens and Mary Kate Olsen. I would say he was moving up in the world but with co stars like that its difficult to say - there probably the worst 2 people to pull of the characters. I've read the book by Alex Finn of which it is based on and, frankly, Hudgens and Olsen better be damn good because I dont want this to fail.
That said the dude has a pretty buff bod and devilish handsome good looks. For his sake I hope Beastly does well as many of his films havent been much of a success, because the world needs some new eye candy...

"I want to have lots of bodyguards around me and be surrounded by beautiful women while watching my brother play at Wimbledon."

Shattered & Knackered

Today was hell. Complete and utter hell. Usually, I like work. Sure it's a pain in the ass that I work Saturdays but then thats just a "Saturday Job" for you. I never wanted to work, hell, I still dont want to but I have to admit getting paid every month is something rewarding. And, amazingly, I managed to score a job that actually I enjoy. But today was one of those days. I had to work the late shift: 8:30 till 5. Granted, I got an hour break still, my feet have never ached so much in my entire life. I work in a music record store just north of Oxford Street. And, no, I wont say where or what its called incase some physco happens to read this and hunts me down (unlikely) but still. Now normally my days are pretty stress free and I can bum around talking nonsense to my work buddies Esta and Dan but today we didnt. Today we got our monthly stock in so, of course, that meant we had to go up and down up and down up and down the freaking narrow, feels like a thousand, steps and then unpack everything and sort out. The whole process took us 3 nearly four hours. By the time I went for lunch I was knackered and collapsed in McDonalds for an hour in their comfy green, uber chic, chairs before dragging myself back to work. Here's me thinking the worst was over, hmmm... not so much. Turns out the delivery in morning was only the first, there was double the amount arriving. *scream*.
I mean I love my job, getting to nosy around old records and finding new music is my idea of heaven, but not today. Today was so not worth £7.80 an hour. By the time I actually got home, after missing my bus and having to walk, I fell onto my bed in a shattered mess. I'm sort of glad Ben, my boyfriend, has cancelled on me. We were meant to be heading to the cinema to see "The Hangover" tonight but something "came up" so we're going tomorrow night instead. I'm not bothered, much. My feet probably couldnt have made it anyway...

Whats The Deal With Wentworth?

I dont get it, I really dont: why are people crushing on the actor Wentworth Miller? Ya' no, the dude from the Prison Break Series that I actually watched. I dont get it.
On Twitter I follow the gossip blog Just Jared and on said website its being asked "who is your secret crush?". Here's me thinking the majority of people would have said Pattinson and Efron (which to be fair many did) but the most frequent name that kept surfacing was Wentworth bloody Miller. Why? Really. WHY? The guys not hot, he really isnt. With hair, maybe. But with the whole skinhead thing going on, no, just no. Sure, the guy can act and I'll admit his eyes are pretty gorgeous but thats where the attraction stops, finishes, ends. I really would love to know what the driving force is behind the crush of Miller, really I would. So if you happen to like this guy do me a favour and let me know why, thanks. Still, I stand resolute: the dude's not hot.

Eye Candy Sunday (On Monday)

Bah so this was meant to be posted yesterday but thanks to the older brother roping me in for 6 hours (maybe more) of back to back Oceans' 11 films, I had no time to get online, let alone update my blog. So today I'm giving you my Eye Candy Sunday but on Monday, meh, it works... sorta.
So this weeks Eye Candy is the British born actor, Ed Westwick. I love Ed, seriously I do. And not just because I've actually seen him play live when he was back over here in London, but because, lately, he has been looking pretty damn hot. He's an absoloute legend in the American hit TV show, Gossip Girl, where he plays bad boy Chuck Bass. How he manages to maintain the same accent for every show is a mystery to me, but he does it somehow. Before Gossip Girl he was in a few films including "Son Of Ranbow" where he played Lawrence, he was Joey in a "100 Feet", Alex in "Children of Men" and is going to be playing "Heathcliff" in the amazing book, "Wuthering Heights" which I am so unbelievably amped for! He's perfect for Heathcliff. His band, Filthy Youth, aren't at all big but I gotta say their music is one of my most played on my iTunes. Lots of people dont like them, even here in England, but I love them because they sound so different to the typical indie, rock, group plus I just cant get over his accent. I'm really hoping we'll be seeing a lot more of Ed in upcoming years now that Gossip Girl is finished or if he doesnt pursue his career in acting he at least gives music another shot.

Lets Rant

Now I'm not normally the one to dedicate a whole post to a major rant, I mean I think Im pretty optimistic gal' who has her crazy moments. I'm ranting because, truthfully, I have nothing else to blog about, that and I feel as though I need to update this thing. But maybe I dont, need to update it I mean, I mean it could be that no one reads this. Actually thats not true, people do read this, well at least my 30 or so followers do (quite an achievement actually considering this is, what? my ninth post?). I'm just special I guess. Anyway, the rant. I'm ranting about just random bits and pieces that have gone wrong today. For one because I live in London and quickest way to journey anywhere is by tube even though I hate the darn things, they're the best way of getting somewhere. But of course today, when I needed to hand in assignment for college, today has to be the day when every single tube in the whole of London goes on strike. Fucking twats. I guess it failed them to know that people actually need to be somewhere by a certain time and dont have time to wait around for a bus in the piddling rain only to have the bus late and then get stuck in roadworks before finally getting to college 20 minutes after the designated time. True story. Seriously, what normally is a 5 minute tube ride took nearly four times the time, like I said, fucking twats. I mean who commendears a whole city tube strike? They're mental. And why the hell did they even go on strike? Not getting paid enough? Oh well boo hoo, get a better job then! Bahh, you cant trust anyone these days. So despite getting wet in the rain, handing in my assignment 20 minutes over the time and waiting again in the rain for a bus a home I finally made it and decided to be a real pig about everything which was why I got out all our ice cream, chocolate sauce and kit kats and made this huge sundae + I watched The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (I was feeling a bit Shane West). I wish I hadnt eaten all that ice cream now, I feel ridiculously sick. Ahh well it was worth it at the time despite the fact that I've probably put on half my body weight. Now all I've got to do for the rest of afternoon + evening is actually do some coursework thats due in tomorrow (what? I work better under pressure), update twitter some more, maybe do another blog post?, watch gossip girl at 9, wash and straighten my hair (wash definietly, straighen if I can be bothered) do a bit of youtubing, answer and check emails and then stick on a film, get into my PJ's and crawl under the covers.
Like hell it'll all happen in that order, but I can at least try.

Eye Candy Sunday

So this is my new idea for a blog post: it's going to be any guy that I think is incredibly hot, buff, or just darn smokin'. A load of my other blogging friends have "Pictures of the Week" "Crushes of the Week" etc... but mine is going to be a lil different. For one, I'll only update this post every sunday, geddit? Eye Candy Sunday. Yeah? OK. So to start of my first Eye Candy is going to be the sexy, smouldering, gets better with age, Shane West. Oh yes, this Louisiana born piece of male hasnt gone unnoticed by me. What I love about Mr West is that he's not the "obvious" good looking, not like Efron or Crawford who are just pretty, but Shane isnt pretty he's freakin' hot. I think my love for this guy became defined when I saw him in the classic love story movie, "A Walk to Remember" in which he played Landon Carter the school's hottest, most popular property but then goes on to fall in love with the daughter of the Reverand, Jamie Sullivan (played by Mandy Moore). He acted so damn well and caused a whole floodgate of tears to occur when I watched the film. Shane then went on to star in the ever so popular TV series ER where he played Dr. Ray Barnett and even then he had his devilish handsome looks still intact. He was Tom Sawyer in the film "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen", Bentley 'Striker' Scrumfield in "Get Over It" and Darby Crash in "What we do is Secret". And if that wasnt enough the guy can hold a tune and has his own band, 'Jonny Was' who are frickin' awesome!
West is set to star in a bunch of new films in the upcoming years playing a various different leads, still, he will always be Landon Carter to me...

"The first thing I notice is their eyes and smile. I'm not a big make-up fan; I like them to be natural." - Shane West

Bloody Miserable

See. Now this is why I sometimes deteste living in London its niether sunny nor miserable, its frickin' inbetween. This is what gets me about British weather - it cant make up its damn mind! For the past week we've been expierencing some sorta heatwave and this morning I wake up, take a trip into the city centre and this is what I'm greeted with. For one, I was seriously pissed at the idea of getting up at the crack of dawn and meeting my cousins from Victoria Station who are up for the holidays. Not ony that but they insisted we take the "scenic" tour bus so they could soak up the "London culture" even though I explained to them getting on a tube (which I hate) would take literally 5 minutes to reach my house. But no, they insisted. Its incredibly embarrasing being on a tour bus when you actually live in London. I mean I could have at least have had a bag with me to make it look as if I wasnt from around here, but no, all I had on me was a set of house keys and my iTouch. So I snapped the picture above to show how miserable London is. And yet so many want to live here? Beats me why...

And Squeal...

They do spoil us a bit dont they? Anyone else think that Taylor looks ridiculously photoshoped? Either that or he's shooting an advert for hair gel ;)

A Bit About Sarah

I love these kinda things, dont ask me why because I dont actually know, I just know that if I have something to complete then I'll do it - something fun that is. Dont go thinking im this total nerd-boffin-hardworker girl because nothing could be more further than the truth. Anyway; on with it!

One. What is your first name? Sarah.Two. What is your favorite food? Chocolate Hobnobs. Three. What do you never leave the house without? My iTouch. Four. What is your favorite color? Black. Five. I'm Obsessed

Usually, Im not one to get physco crazy over something however, I think I've changed that. After signing up to this thing yesterday (which I am still questioning whether it was a smart move) I logged onto YouTube. I love YouTube, and not just because you can watch just about everything on there, but because you can watch one thing that then leads you to another, and then another and another and... well you get the point. Anyway! I was on there last night and, because I am "active" member of YouTube, I get videos "recommended" to me. I love that, the fact that YouTube thinks they know what you'll like *laughs*. But, for once, they got it right. Being the teen twilight fan that I am (what tween/teen girl isnt?) they recommended a video with all the new New Moon footage with a particular song playing. Now the video, which was good, introduced me to a new band. I was only really listening to the music rather than watching the video (meh, i've seen the New Moon trailer countless times) and so by the time it finished I was like, "um wow. what was the song again?!?"
And so I found the band Trading Yesterday
I completely adore them, no, I am obsessed with them. There song "Shattered" which started my obsession has been played 23 times on my iTunes and I only downloaded it yesterday. However there number one song, to me, is Love Song Requiem . Now anyone who knows me knows I am this hardass, thinks she cool, rocker so this is completely out of my comfort zone. Still, I am obsessed. Hey, its healthy right?

Want, Want, Want...

I want these damn shoes! Never mind the guy attached to them (although I wouldnt say no), I want the trainers. I've searched every *shudder* sport/chav store online and I cant find them anywhere. Are they like a Rob Pattinson Own brand or something crazy like that? All these chav sites are offering me other trainers but I dont want any others I want those. I can tell I'll have to send off abroad somewhere for them unless I scout out every Footlocker, JD Sports etc... in London until I get my hands on them. Mission for Sarah: Find Rob's trainers. Unless, of course, I just give ol' Rob a ring on my phone and just ask where he got those beauties from. What? Dont you have his number?

Lets Try It...

Ya' know what would have made this "signing up to blogger" shiz more defined like? If I had started this yesterday, then it would have been at the beginning of a new month, new start, new blog. No? Am I the only one this is making sense to? Obviously. So this is my first blog post (on blogger) and I gotta say its a lot easier than I anticipated. At first, when I deliberated whether or not I should sign up, I thought "I'm not going to update this regulary" but then isnt the point of a blog to update when you can and want? Thus this reason I've decided to join. So lemme think how I can describe myself to you: I'm obsessed with eyeliner and anything black. I write songs. I deteste cats with a passion. Shiny pennies are a wonderful thing. I'm addicted to twitter. I dye my hair, often. I hate the tubes. I wear a lot of makeup. Music gigs are my second home. My diet is made up of absolute crap. I like my leather boots. My nails are always painted a colour. I hate my voice and play the guitar. And have five peircings although you can only see three. I live in London and I wont say where you weird-sick-stalker-perv. I like Robert Pattinson's nike trainers, I want his trainers. I roll my eyes too much that I think I'll have my eyes stuck permanently mid roll and if I leave my house without my iTouch I feel lost. So thats me. I wonder what other uninteresting, nonsense, crap I'll blabber on about?
